Description

The Opportunity

As Chair, you will continue to develop the culture, ensure strong governance, and work closely with our talented Executive Team to deliver for our customers. You will lead a committed and skilled Board that is passionate about making a real difference for customers and communities. This is a time of evolution not revolution for Golding as the organisation continues on its journey of improvement and modernisation.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking an experienced non-executive director with prior Board chairing or committee chairing experience and the ability to:

  • Lead with confidence and clarity, inspiring collaboration, partnership working and getting the best out of people.
  • Balance strategic vision with appropriate attention to detail, knowing when to step in and when to empower others.
  • Show genuine commitment to and track record of customer engagement.
  • Demonstrate strong financial acumen.
  • Preferably bring experience in social housing, but transferable expertise from other complex, highly regulated sectors will be considered for an exceptional candidate.
  • Encourage innovation and transformation, to help us adapt to the changing external environment.
  • Embrace the future with a forward-looking mindset, keeping customer focus at the heart of what we do.
  • To champion equity, diversity and inclusion, ensuring that our leadership reflects the customers and the communities we support.

If you share our passion for making a difference through housing and have the skills and experience to lead us through the next stage of our journey, we would love to hear from you.
